WPS PIN on Canon Printer – Setup Guide

Canon PIXMA and MAXIFY printers support WPS PIN connection mode, allowing you to connect to WiFi by entering the printer's PIN into your router's admin interface.
How to Access WPS PIN on Canon PIXMA
Models with Touchscreen
- Tap LAN settings from the home screen
- Tap Wi-Fi → Wi-Fi setup → WPS (PIN code method)
- An 8-digit PIN code will display on the screen
Models with LCD but No Touchscreen
- Press the Settings button
- Use the directional buttons to go to LAN settings > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi setup
- Select WPS (PIN code method)
- The PIN appears on the LCD display
Models with Buttons Only (No Screen)
- Hold the Wi-Fi button until it flashes
- Press the Color button once
- The printer enters WPS PIN mode — print the network info page to retrieve the PIN
Enter PIN in Your Router
- Log in to your router (192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1)
- Find WPS settings
- Select PIN Entry and type the PIN from your Canon printer
- Confirm — the router will push the network credentials to the printer
Verify Connection
Print a LAN settings information page from the printer's settings menu to confirm the IP address assignment and connection status.
