HP OfficeJet 3830 Setup Guide

The HP OfficeJet 3830 is a wireless all-in-one inkjet printer. This guide covers unboxing, ink installation, WiFi setup, and driver installation.

Step 1: Unbox and Prepare

1. Remove all packing tape and materials (including from inside the printer)
2. Open the ink cartridge access door
3. Remove packing materials from the carriage
4. Install the black (HP 62 or 65) and tri-color (HP 62 or 65) cartridges

Step 2: Power On and Initial Setup

1. Connect the power cord and press the Power button
2. The OfficeJet 3830 will guide you through initial setup on the control panel screen
3. Select your language and country/region

Step 3: Connect to WiFi

1. On the control panel, tap Wireless (or navigate to Setup > Network)
2. Tap Wireless Setup Wizard
3. Select your WiFi network name
4. Enter your WiFi password
5. Tap Apply — the printer connects and shows the IP address

Step 4: Install HP Software

1. Download HP Easy Start from HP's website or use the HP Smart app
2. Run the installer on your Windows PC or Mac
3. Follow the wizard — it will detect the OfficeJet 3830 automatically
4. Complete installation and print a test page

Step 5: Setup on iPhone or Android

1. Download HP Smart from the App Store or Google Play
2. Open the app and tap Set Up a New Printer
3. Follow the in-app steps to add the OfficeJet 3830
