How to Find IP Address of HP Printer

The IP address of your HP printer is needed to access the printer's web interface, configure network settings, or manually add the printer port.

Method 1: Print a Network Configuration Page

  1. On the printer's control panel, find Setup or Network
  2. Select Print Reports or Network Configuration Report
  3. Press OK to print
  4. The IP address is listed under "Wireless" or "Network" section

Method 2: HP Printer Control Panel

On HP printers with touchscreen displays:

  1. Tap the Wireless icon (signal bars) on the home screen
  2. The IP address is displayed in the network information screen

On non-touchscreen HP printers:

  1. Press OK > Setup > Network > Network Summary
  2. The IP address is displayed

Method 3: HP Smart App

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer
  2. Your printer's IP address is shown in the printer details screen

Method 4: Windows Printer Properties

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
  2. Click your HP printer
  3. Select Printer properties
  4. Click the Ports tab
  5. The port name shown (like "192.168.1.105") is the IP address

Method 5: Router Admin Panel

Log into your router (usually 192.168.1.1), go to Connected Devices or DHCP Client List, and find your HP printer by name.
